Hey Kids! Want to take over the airwaves?
Join us at WNAS 88.1 FM at New Albany High School for a truly unique camp experience this summer. The WNAS Radio Camp will teach students in grades 3-8 how to be a real radio star.
Be heard on the radio showcasing your new talents!
The camp ends on Friday with a taping of a 2-hour broadcast of the radio camp kids displaying all of their acquired talents as radio broadcasters. This show will feature interviews, campers’ music selections, advertisements, news, weather and much, much more! All of it can be heard over the airwaves of 88.1 FM, on TV at channel 25 on Insight Cable and around the world at wnas.org! The event will be played at set times so everyone in the family (including the camper) can hear the broadcast on the radio.
Create a radio promo and be heard all summer!
Radio campers have the chance to write and record their very own radio promo about WNAS to be heard during the summer. They first start by learning how to put together a script with music and voice. Once the scripts are written, each camper will record his or her very own promo.
Anything else?
All campers will receive a certificate of completion and a WNAS t-shirt!
Registration will occur at New Albany High School on the first day of camp. Please enter the main entrance, door #1, on either July 8 or July 15. If you have questions, please contact the school at 981-7624 or jflener@nafcs.k12.in.us. You may mail in your registration:
